Lanzhou Auxiliary Agent Plant Co., Ltd. (LAAP) specializes in producing both low- and room-temperature organic peroxides, offering a wide range of products currently available on the market. LAAP also supports the development of new product lines or custom solutions through in-house R&D capabilities.

- The R&D team consists of highly qualified chemists, with three team members holding master's degrees. In the future, the company plans to recruit more post-graduate talent, including Ph.D. holders, to enhance research capabilities.
- Regular academic discussions have driven progress in new products like TOPV (CAS: 22288-41-1) and TOPEH (CAS: 22288-43-3), accelerating development timelines. In 2023, the team filed two new patents, further showcasing their innovation: one for a high-purity tert-butyl maleate peroxide synthesis method and another for didecyl peroxide preparation.
- Lanzhou Auxiliaries Co., Ltd. has consistently prioritized research and development, dedicating substantial resources to innovation. Over the past three years, the company has invested RMB 12.56 million (2021), RMB 11.76 million (2022), and RMB 12.59 million (2023) into R&D, which accounted for 4.75%, 3.16%, and 3.12% of its annual revenue, respectively. These investments reflect the company’s commitment to enhancing its product range and maintaining industry leadership.
- In addition, cutting-edge equipment such as ion chromatography and homogeneous reactors have been incorporated into the R&D process, enabling more precise analysis and a smoother, controlled reaction process—especially crucial when working with organic peroxides. This technological advancement ensures that the chemical reactions critical to production are optimized for both safety and efficiency.
- To guarantee quality from the start, the company rigorously tests all raw materials, ensuring suppliers meet strict requirements and standards before their materials are accepted for use in R&D. This double-check approach ensures that the final products uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Our research facilities are comprised of two main areas: the basic laboratory, focused on small-scale research and synthesis, and the R&D pilot plant, where experiments are scaled up to verify production feasibility.

Basic Laboratory
This area focuses on the small-scale synthesis and property research of organic peroxides. It is where the company conducts foundational experiments to develop new products and improve existing ones.

R&D Pilot Plant
This section is designed for scaling up experiments to larger production scales, ensuring that the production techniques can be successfully applied on an industrial scale. It helps to verify the feasibility of the processes before they move into mass production.
Our R&D process follows a systematic approach, transitioning from lab-scale trials to pilot-scale experiments, and finally to full-scale production under varying environmental conditions. The process can be summarized as follows:
Laboratory Trials
The initial phase of R&D happens in our laboratory, where we conduct small-scale synthesis and performance testing of new products. In this phase, we use specialized equipment such as stirrers and condensers to explore and refine the chemical reaction conditions. The goal is to identify the optimal process for factors like raw material ratios, reaction temperature, and time. Through repeated experiments, we fine-tune these variables to ensure that the product meets our standards of quality and performance.
Analysis Equipment
The laboratory is fitted with advanced devices such as microscopes, potentiometric titrators, gas chromatographs, GPC gel liquid chromatographs, and ion chromatographs for analyzing organic peroxides. These devices offer high sensitivity, enabling precise analysis of various product properties.
Safety Equipment
Our laboratory is equipped with comprehensive safety equipment such as explosion-proof cabinets, fire extinguishers, and emergency shower stations. At the same time, strict safety management protocols have been established to ensure the safe conduct of R&D activities.
Other Equipment

- LAAP has made significant advancements in the development of organic peroxides, producing various organic peroxides, including LQ-DIPB, LQ-CPND, and LQ-MOBPC, among others. These products are widely used in several industries, such as new materials, photovoltaics, and water-based resins. We are known as the only large-scale and multi-product supplier of organic peroxides in the northwest region of China, and one of fewer than five such companies in the entire country.
- In recent years, we have undertaken nine significant technological projects, including the development of P16, DIPB, LPO, TBK, and CEPC, as well as innovations in alkyl peroxide separation technologies. We hold intellectual property rights for essential technologies used in organic peroxide production, having filed for 19 utility model patents and 5 invention patents. Additionally, we have led the development of three industry standards for organic peroxides and earned several provincial awards for its innovations. These achievements emphasize our capacity for both independent innovation and contribution to the industrial sector through high-quality, specialized products.
